Entry Fees

The normal entry fee per person is $8. For ACBL special events, such as STAC's, club championships, charity games, NAP or GNT qualifiers, the entry is increased (usually $1) to cover the ACBL sanction fee. About club fees.

Directions to Bridge Club- Laurel Area Map  Detail Map

Coming north or south on I-95: Take exit to Rt. 198 east, through Laurel to Rt. 1. Cross Route 1 and continue straight for 1.5 miles to light at Laureldale Dr (big Nisson car dealership on left). Turn left to go down into strip mall parking lot past car dealership. Bridge club in center of strip mall. (Beware of speed bumps).

Coming north or south on BW Parkway: Take exit for Rt. 198 West. Proceed west on 198, just past firehouse on right look for redlight at Laureldale Drive (car dealership on far right corner). Take a right and go down to the strip mall parking lot. (Beware of speed bumps)

Stratified Games

Game strata are generally: open for A, 0-2000 for B, and 0-300 for C. However, strata may be adjusted by the director to accommodate the playing field and achieve better balance. ACBL rules require at least 5 pairs to have a strata lower than open.

Handicap Pairs Game

Friday evening games are handicapped for the benefit of novice and intermediate players. Handicaps are based on masterpoint holdings with half of the awards given to leading pairs without handicap and half to leading pairs with handicap.

Laurel Bridge Club

The bridge club is a co-op, operated by a group of players. The goal is to keep a decent quality club open in the area, and break about even on cost. To keep entry fees low, the club owners direct on a volunteer basis. Club History.
